Vagacials: the 411
Our promotion this month is “Citrus in July” and we’re focusing on the intimate area skin with VAGACIALS! What’s a vagacial you ask? Hearing the term ‘vagacial’ your reaction might be confused (huh?) and apprehensive (wth?) but follow along as I share my thoughts and educate you on this. The intimate area skin is just as important as the skin on our face. Many of us tend to focus on the face because we often look at ourselves in the mirror and it’s always exposed, whereas the intimate area skin tends to be neglected because it’s our private area and always covered. So let’s get to it. Here is the 411.
What is a Vagacial?
While it’s not an actual word the term vagacial has been used by hair removal specialists as a way to describe a facial for the intimate area skin. The difference is the location of the treatment. Instead of the face, the focus is on the vulva and inner thighs. Although the name comes from the word “vagina” a vagacial is done on the bikini line and vulva, NOT the vagina.
Here is how it will all go down.
Step 1: Steam the area to increase hydration and soften hair & skin.
Step 2: A deep cleanse and manual exfoliation to remove dead skin cells.
Step 3: Full Brazilian sugar hair removal.
Step 4: Finish with a vitamin C illuminating orange hydro jelly masque.
What does citrus have to do with it?
Lemons and oranges!! One of the main ingredients in hair removal sugar paste is lemon which naturally purifies and detoxifies the skin. It also helps fight bacteria and acts as a natural exfoliant by removing dead skin cells that can clog follicles and cause ingrown hairs. We use a vitamin-C-rich, illuminating orange hydro jelly masque because of its hydrating benefits. It also helps target discoloration, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone. We LOVE all things Citrus in July!!
